Chao Phraya River, Bangkok

Photos of the Week

These photos were taken on Friday 11th September 2015 as I wandered around the city for a couple of hours.

First stop- Kathmandu Art Gallery, 87 Pan Road, Silom, Bangkok, 10500

They are currently exhibiting photographs, as part of the Photo Bangkok Festival 2015, by Liam Morgan called Game: Part 1. The photographs were shot from open-air trains around Thailand using half hunting-rifle and half-camera.

Next I went to Asiatique The Riverfront. This place is like a ghost town in the daytime. None of the shops or bars and restaurants open until 5pm, which means there are not many people around, save the odd security guard.

Funky lights on the ceiling. I thought they were a bit different

These photographs show the boats at three different distances.

I liked the reflections of the boats and buildings in these two photographs

Also at Asiatique is this rather cute JulietLoveGarden, complete with Juliet’s balcony. Declare your love for your sweetheart, just like in Paris. Not sure where you’re supposed to toss the keys. Maybe into the Chao Phraya River!

I managed to get a few photographs in the Protestant cemetery before the rain started
