About Me

morrisophotography

www.morrisophotography.co.uk/aboutHello! I’m Gill Morris and I am a photographer who loves to capture life through the lens.  I’ve travelled to many different countries and took up residence in Thailand for 10 years. Living abroad awakened a new sense in me, a creative part of me, that I barely knew existed.

Some of my photographs have been featured in Southlit Magazine and I have just published my third book – A Book of Photographic Images.

What’s morrisophotography about?www.morrisophotography.co.uk/about

Morrisophotography began because of my love of photography. I get so much enjoyment out of taking photographs, and there is nothing I love more than to go out alone with my camera, looking for anything that captures my eye.

Morrisophotography will showcase my images for YOU to enjoy.  This is, not only, a digital record of my life, but of life that surrounds me. By feeding this passion of mine, I hope to motivate and inspire others.

More About Mewww.morrisophotography.co.uk/about

I was born in Edinburgh, but spent most of my life in Northampton, England. I have 3 brothers, 2 sisters, 3 nephews and 1 niece. My parents are the most wonderful people I know.

I have been married twice, and found myself single at 37. Who said life begins at 40? It certainly did for me. I am happier now than I ever was before.

I won a bronze medal at tap-dancing when I was a child.

I came second in a body-building competition (when I used to have abs!)

My favourite food is Indian and pizza. I could eat it every day.

I love all things to do with nature and the natural world. One of my heroes is David Attenborough.

I love learning. I have a Bachelor of Science degree, and I’m always reading something. The older I get the more I want to learn.

I love wine, but I hate hangovers.

I exercise a lot. I love to run, swim, and work out in the gym.

Living abroad taught me that I don’t need all the material things that seemed important before. These days, I am content with the simple pleasures in life.

I believe that you are never too old to do anything, you’ve just got to set your mind to it.
