Birds of Bangkok
I have seen a few Asian openbill storks (Anastomus oscitans) flying around near my home in Bangkok and have often wondered where they go. As I sat waiting for a bus one day, I noticed one of these huge birds sitting on a branch of a nearby palm tree. Naturally, I got excited and took a couple of photos. When I looked behind me I spotted at least 50 of them in amongst the water hyacinths. Talk about lack of observation! At least I found their watering hole.
