Bangkok Districts; Phra Nakhon
Phra Nakhon was also the name of Bangkok Province, until it was merged in 1972 with Thonburi to form the present day Bangkok metropolis.
I have written about and taken photographs of this area so many times. I can’t say enough what a fantastic place it really is to explore.
Starting in the south of the district is Memorial Bridge:
In the centre:
Saranrom Park
Saranrom Palace
Hok Bridge
Wat Ratchabophit
Ministry of Defence
Phra Thinang Chakri Prasat
Statue of Gustave Rolin-Jaequemyns
Democracy Monument
The National Gallery
In the north:
Bangkhunphrom Palace
Rama VIII Bridge
It really is worth walking around Phra Nakhon. Don’t just take my word for it though, discover for yourselves 🙂
